SRT keeps the readable timed cues from WebVTT but cannot represent every web-player instruction.
The converter keeps cue timing, text, and line breaks. It assigns SRT sequence numbers in source order and changes millisecond punctuation from periods to commas. A valid WebVTT file begins with the WEBVTT signature described in the W3C WebVTT specification.
